FLB is led by three partners and has a highly qualified, experienced team of over 140 people.
Gary co-founded FLB Accountants in 2008 and has 20 years’ experience in professional accounting practice. Prior to founding FLB, Gary spent his early career working in top tier accounting firms. Gary supports a wide spectrum of businesses across all sectors, providing both business and tax advice at board level. He works closely with high-growth businesses, the technology sector and owner managed businesses.
Danny co-founded FLB Accountants in 2008. Danny’s excellent reputation in the Thames Valley is built on his caring approach to all client relationships. Danny specialises in advising dynamic owner managed businesses of all sizes. A key aspect of this is the provision of joined up advice in respect of both business and personal tax planning opportunities.
Sam has 20 years’ experience working in financial services regulated businesses, including board director level experience leading finance and operational functions in multinational and privately owned businesses. Sam joined FLB in 2020 and has broad sector experience focused on venture capital and private equity, media and infrastructure.
Nicola has over 10 years’ experience in the financial reporting team at FLB. Nicola specialises in providing a high-quality service supporting businesses and directors, providing advice around remuneration planning and building strong client relationships.
Mike has over 10 years’ experience in the financial services and practice industries. He has specific experience in the management of investment products, project financing and dealing with complex investment structures. In addition, Mike has skills in the private equity world with knowledge across the media and infrastructure asset classes.
Mike has 10 years of finance experience working across a variety of industries including technology, media and infrastructure. Mike joined FLB in 2020 to oversee the day-to-day business, primarily focusing on financial and operational processes. Prior to joining FLB, Mike was responsible for media and infrastructure central finance at a leading boutique asset management firm.
Chanchal joined FLB after working for one of the largest global financiers in film and TV project financing. At FLB, Chanchal continues to focus on media and entertainment, with specific knowledge in project financing, film financing structures, production accounting and post-production accounting.
Sam joined FLB in 2020 with a background in professional financial services, specifically in the investment banking and media and entertainment industries. Sam specialises in the management and facilitation of film/TV project and portfolio-related financing, with experience at a leading global film financier based in London.
Alun manages the outsourcing requirements of the extensive portfolio of owner managed business clients. Alun started his career in a professional accountancy practice before moving into the industry working as a financial director. He has over 20 years’ experience in a variety of industries, including construction, leisure, property, hospitality and project management.
Carly is an FCA and CTA qualified tax director, with over 15 years’ experience, specialising in venture capital reliefs and taxation issues affecting owner managed businesses. Prior to joining FLB, she trained and qualified at Deloitte and spent 8 years working as a tax director at a leading boutique asset management firm, where she worked across the media, infrastructure and real estate sectors.
Brandon has over 10 years experience in financial outsourcing. He works with larger entities and subsidiaries specialising in onboarding, system migration and implementation of processes to facilitate the delivery of financial outsourcing needs. Before joining FLB, Brandon worked in a number of different roles both in practice and industry ranging from aircraft leasing to biotech to a FTSE 100 listed service provider.
Jane is a Fellow of the CIPD. Jane has significant experience in the delivery of strategic and operational HR advice in both the private and public sector, including training and development, recruitment and complex employee relations.
Lucy has over ten years’ experience in practice, with an audit background that spanned a variety of different industries from financial services and retail to theatre and membership associations. Lucy’s specialisms include advising large groups on their consolidation, supporting subsidiary entities of large overseas groups and supporting new clients during their start-up phase.
Dan joined FLB in 2022 as Head of Audit with 19 years’ experience in finance, including over 15 years as an auditor and 4 years as the Vice President of Finance in a UK listed global technology business. Dan worked for the majority of his career in a large audit practice servicing clients ranging from small UK subsidiaries through to global listed groups under both International and UK GAAP accounting frameworks, across a wide spectrum of sectors.
Steven joined FLB in 2022 with a background in outsourced financial services. He has 20 years’ experience in outsourcing, specialising in inward investment and regulated businesses.
Chris joined FLB in 2021, with over 10 years’ finance experience, to assist with the media client portfolio. Prior to joining FLB, Chris specialised in tax technical audit, forensic accounting and financial services across a number of industry sectors and client types.
Lloyd has over 12 years’ experience in accounting practice, training at EY in their media audit division, progressing to Manager, before moving to Saffery Champness to specialise in creative sector tax credits. Lloyd has worked with productions ranging from micro-budget independent films to some of the biggest Hollywood blockbusters and high budget TV shows.
