You will be working with a wide range of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and high net worth individuals. The role will be based in our new open plan offices in Winnersh Triangle, Berkshire with flexibility to work from home one day a week.

 

Your responsibilities as Bookkeeper will include:

  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Performing bank reconciliations and analysis
  • Resolving commercial queries from stakeholders
  • Assisting with financial reporting requirements
  • Drafting management accounts

 

To be successful in this Bookkeeper role you MUST have the following:

  • Level 4 AAT qualified
  • Xero experience (preferable)
  • Microsoft office proficiency (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage time efficiently
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Eager to gain commercial knowledge and an understanding of the renewable energy sector

We are looking for an experienced Manager for this new role to join our Financial Reporting team, to help us continue our progress towards becoming a Top 50 firm. This candidate should be highly motivated, have a strong understanding of business financials and a broad knowledge of accounting and finance issues.

As a Manager within the Financial Reporting team, you will be reporting to the team’s Director and your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing a young team, including managing performance, setting goals and ongoing training.
  • Reviewing and managing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns prepared by the team.
  • Providing business advice to clients.
  • Preparing more complex sets of statutory accounts using UK GAAP for Limited companies, Sole traders, Partnerships and LLP’s ensuring all relevant disclosures are included and correct, including consolidations.
  • Preparing tax computations for both limited companies and on occasions individuals to provide advice to clients on remuneration planning.
  • Managing client relationships, servicing, budgeting, and billing.
  • Scope to get involved with ad hoc tasks and projects within the business.

To be successful in this Manager role you will need to have the following:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, ideally 2-5 years post qualified.
  • Experience working within an accounting practice environment.
  • Demonstrate strong, working knowledge of relevant accounting and reporting standards.
  • Experience in managing and leading a team.
  • The ability to prioritise and manage workload in a calm and collected manner to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of cloud apps, such Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.

The role will be based at our Winnersh head office, and you will be working with senior members of the team across the business reporting to the Partner group.

 

Key Responsibilities of this Compliance Officer role include:

·        Leading and helping on the design of programmes that improve compliance.

·        Working with department heads to develop a program for reviewing and updating current processes across all business departments.

·        Monitor internal compliance with internal processes.

·        Ensuring that the business remains compliant with its regulatory obligations to the ICAEW, including annual compliance reviews, AML obligations, hot reviews, and cold review compliance.

·        Performing research to stay informed about compliance standards.

·        Educating employees and partners through training sessions.

·        Motivating employees to exceed compliance standards.

·        Conducting investigations to discover the root cause of compliance problems as they arise.

·        Ad hoc tasks and projects.

 

In order to be successful in this Compliance Officer role you must have the following:

·        Qualified Accountant with 10+ years of experience from a practice background (ACA or ACCA)

·        In-depth understanding of ICAEW standards and regulations.

·        Excellent project management skills

·        Excellent problem-solving skills

·        Ability to work independently

·        Strong communicator and ability to work with the wider senior team.
